About Lily White Wedding

The winning couple of the Lilywhite Wedding are promised a memorable day that will make their dreams come through.

Staff at the Hazel Hotel in Monasterevin, led by owner John Kelly, will be on hand to ensure Kildare’s perfect pair have the most special of days.

The Monasterevin hotel is renowned for the attention to detail and quality of service guests received. This is particularly so when the Hazel Hotel caters for wedding receptions.
That attention to detail is the hallmark of wedding receptions at the Hazel Hotel and sees John Kelly and his team ready to meet the needs of the happy couple and their guests from the time they arrive until the last guests leave.

Quality food, service with a smile and a complete willingness to help all add up to ensuring the wedding couple can relax on the day and enjoy their very special celebration. John said the Hazel Hotel staff work to ensure every detail is taken care of right from the welcome reception to a team of staff. Meals are served to all guests at the same time by the busy team and their attention to detail right throughout the reception.

Summer of Love

A long hot summer of love ended with thrills and excitement for Rathangan couple Laura Ruffley and Thomas Moloney.
They were the outright winners of the Lily White Wedding 2006, and a wedding package in the Hazel Hotel, Monasterevin, that is worth €20,000.
The couple, who now live in Clonbullogue, were speechless as family and friends rushed to congratulate them on their great success.
“It was unbelievable. I still cannot believe we won,” said Laura after the couple scooped the valuable prize when declared winner of the “Whose Got The Figure?” game.  They met John Kelly the owner of the Hazel Hotel and are planning to get married next summer 2007.
The couple met in Ardscoil Rath Iomghain when Laura, with her family, moved from Newbridgeto live in Rathangan. They have been sweethearts since the age of 15.
“It was true love from the start. We went to our debs together and everything,” said 21 year old Laura.
Both celebrated with their families into the early hours of the morning. “I couldn’t believe it. I thought we would never have a chance,” added Thomas.

Congratulations
Among the first to congratulate the couple were Catherina and Rob Reeves who won the 2005 Lily White Wedding at the Hazel Hotel.

Presenter of Kfm’s Flagship radio programme Kildare Today, Noel Shannon, acted as MC on the night and helped all 29 couples feel at ease as he chatted with them. He described the night in the Hazel Hotel as a great success and thanked all who supported the competition through to the final night. “It was a huge success and great tribute is due to John Kelly and his staff at the Hazel and I wish Laura and Thomas well in the future,” he added.
